Dr. Amira Abdel Motaal 
Dr. Abdel Motaal finished her Masters in Pharmaceutical Sciences in 2001 from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Cairo University where she worked as a teaching assistant at the Pharmacognosy Department. Then she received a DAAD scholarship to accomplish her PhD in Biotechnology in 2006 from Eberhard Karls Universitaet, Tubingen, Germany. Dr. Abdel Motaal worked as a lecturer of Pharmacognosy and Phytochemistry at the faculty of Pharmacy, Cairo university from 2006 to 2011 then as an Associate Professor in 2012. She is a consultant in the Research and Development of the Pharmaceutical Company Atos, Egypt since 2007. Amira was a visiting scientist at the Natural Health Products and Metabolic Diseases Laboratory, Department of Pharmacology, University of Montreal, Canada in 2010. She received a Marie Curie fellowship at the Department of Pharmacognosy, Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Karl-Franzens-Universitaet Graz, Austria in 2011 and 2013. Dr. Abdel Motaal participated and headed several National and International projects. Currently she is the Head of the Pharmacognosy and Medicinal Plants Department at the Faculty of Pharmacy and Drug Technology, Heliopolis University, and an Associate Professor of Pharmacognosy at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Cairo University, Egypt.
